Capital Bank Delivers Innovative Digital Services Through Blink Digital Bank

Capital Bank has announced the launch of Blink, a digital bank that provides its services through a smart digital platform. The launch, which was attended by Blink CEO Zein Malhas, also included senior executive team members from Capital Bank, Jordanian media representatives as well as social media influencers.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Blink CEO Zein Malhas said, “With the launch of Blink in Jordan, we deliver on our commitment to provide the latest advancements in the global banking industry because in today’s increasingly digital world, clients have come to rely on digital services and financial apps more than ever.” Malhas went on to add that Blink will reinforce Capital Bank’s solid foundation in digital transformation and consistently provide the latest and most innovative services and solutions in the Jordanian market.

According to Malhas, Blink will also further financial inclusion in Jordan and aims to help people achieve financial independence, with a focus on individuals, home-based business owners, women and university students in its first phase. She added that the bank chose to focus on the 18 to 40 age bracket as a gesture of faith in the abilities of the nation’s youth as well as the growing rates of mobile telephone and Internet penetration in Jordan, which stand at over 90%. Accordingly, Blink was launched as a fully digital and nontraditional bank that embodies the youthfulness and digital direction of the Jordanian society.

Blink is the first app in Jordan to issue credit cards instantaneously after the completion of a number of simple steps, offering limits ranging between JD200 and JD1000. The credit cards also enjoy a repayment period of up to 60 days, the highest in the Jordanian market, and do not require any guarantees, collateral or the need for salary transfer. Malhas also added that Blink is looking to provide its services to the Iraqi market in the future and is working on providing integrated digital services for SMEs.

The Blink app, which is available on both the Apple Store and Google Play, can also be used on points of sale in Jordan and internationally and offers access to ATMs.
